Or upload a photo of someone wearing makeup you love and respecced applies the same look to your face, without changing your features.

Twelve looks, and one that copies

The catalogue runs from barely-there to full evening, with the lip colour and the eye palette as separate choices and a slider for how strong the whole thing is. That last control matters more than it sounds: most makeup decisions are about degree rather than kind.

There is also "copy the makeup from a photo", which takes any picture of a look you like and applies it to your face. As everywhere else, it takes the makeup and nothing else about the person in the photo.

It is still your face underneath

Nothing is smoothed, slimmed or reshaped. Makeup presets change makeup, and the catalogue has no cosmetic-surgery previews in it at all, which is a line drawn on purpose.

Your expression, your lighting and your photograph stay as they were, so what you are looking at is the makeup rather than a different picture.

Before you buy the thing

A lipstick is cheap to regret and a full palette is not. Seeing a colour on your own face, in your own lighting, is a better guide than a swatch on a stranger's arm.
